hanging out in d.c.

It was a full birthday celebration Saturday night, and we got to do it all in d.c., just a mere 20 minutes away. Traffic was unbelievably nice to us, and we made our reservation on time with our friends for dinner at dsg delicatessen. They brought the apple cinnamon cheesecake surprise I had baked the night before and we dug into the food and delicious dessert afterward.

Next stop was the the theater at wooly mammoth in chinatown. We watched a small budget production called The summoning of everyman. Set in medieval time, it was originally written in Dutch in the 16th century. It oddly reminded me of A Christmas carol, the everyman being Ebenezer Scrooge. We will definitely be back.

The best part was seeing my sister, ken and sloane. They met us after the wizards game late into the night, and we camped out at a fro-yo place for a few precious minutes before they headed to their friends’.

La dee da dee dum

A weekend full of friends and family made a good prelude to the upcoming holiday.
